Presented by Bert Van Landeghem

This workshop illustrates how statistical software can be used with screenreaders, in order to perform data manipulations and to gather statistical information. During the workshop, the programme Stata, but also (and maybe preferably) the open Source package R can be used.

The workshop aims to introduce students to the software with a real-life example. We can use a small dataset with indicators for different countries and different calendar years, and it might be fun to explore such data by generating summary statistics.

Hardly any prerequisites are required, except for working knowledge of a screenreader and the concepts mean, median, minimum and maximum.
